Delta State House of Assembly Suspends Two Members for Insubordination.


Two members of Delta State House of Assembly have been suspended yesterday, base on alleged desecration of the hallow chamber, where Rt. Hon Monday Igbuya is the speaker of the house.

The members were suspended during their plenary which held yesterday Tuesday, 10th of November.


The suspended legislators are; Mrs Pat Ajudua, Chief Whip representing Oshimili North  and Mr Johnson Erijo represent the Isoko South II constituency for Delta State here.

The suspension of the two legislators started with motion of Majority Leader Mr Tim Owhefere. He said;  the sanctity of the House must be be given due regard at all times as the House won't entertain any distraction to the development and betterment of the State.


According to reports, the motion was supported by the full house with a loud 'yea' and was seconded by Minority Leader Mr Festus Okoh.

The Speaker, Hon. Monday Igbuya, further called on the members to re-double their efforts in the quest of lawmaking for peace and good governance of the state.

  1. Gosh...governmental issues...like a minefield really, aren't they?!
    It is much the same here...scandals...ministers resigning...arguments about whether or not to stay a part of Europe...all goes over my head!
    Oh if only people could just agree...or agree to disagree...:/
