As she struggled to fight back the memories, Dennis was having a struggle of his own. Frustrated and confused, he held her hands tight. Praying in a way he didn't know he could. Life has always been good, hence he felt no need for vehement prayers. He laughed at himself over the numerous times his family had ribbed him about his very short kind of prayers.

Dennis closed his eyes trying to pray some more but the memories rushed through his mind. He'd prefer to be in her position, suffering, if there’s a possibility of a switch. He desperately wants to get into her mind and absorb all of her pain. He felt helpless like a lifeless man, not knowing what to do. He tried to block the memories out of his mind. Maybe if he can successfully do that, she too maybe able to get pass the blockage. But, no strong will could hold them back as his mind got flooded with every scene. They found themselves in that horrific scene together as if there’s a bridge between their minds.

She felt the pain all over again. How did she get here? is the difficult question she couldn't answer. She just wanted to go to Lagos for an interview. So why does she keep hearing people sneer at her with that mean look on their faces? "Oh God help me!" She tried to pray but the words won't just push past her throat. And then she heard a sound, putting to an end the whimpering of the people around. Everyone seems to be too sacred to lift up their heads. They were all lying with their  faces on the down, some shaking badly.
