Civil Society Coalition Asks Senate to Dump Social Media Bill.

A coalition of national and international civil society organizations has written to the Senate asking it to dump the Frivolous Petitions (Prohibitions, etc) Bill, otherwise called Social Media Bill which seeks principally to muzzle free expression in the social media in Nigeria.

Senate Overwhelmingly Resolved that JME or "Jamb" Fees should be N2500 Naira and Result Validity for 3 Years.

Senate has unanimously resolved that the registration fee of Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will henceforth be sold at N2,500 instead of  N5,650 which was the initial amount paid by students in the previous years and result validity should not be less than 3 years.

Despite Cash Crunch, Senate Illegally Buying N4.7billion Exotic Cars For Saraki and other Senators.

The Nigerian Senate is currently on the verge of illegally buying various brands of exotic vehicles for use by its President, Bukola Saraki, and the 108 other senators, Claims PREMIUM TIME.

The cars will cost taxpayers an estimated N4.7billion that could be spent on vaccinating newborns and save them from dying or on providing electricity for remote communities so kids stop doing school assignments using paraffin lamps.

Social Media Bill: Senators Supporting Anti-Free Speech Wanted on International No-Fly List by Nigerians in Diaspora.


The Senate President,  Bukola Saraki has been asked to put a stop to the SocialMediaBill of sentencing anyone to 2years imprisonment for falsification of information. The call was made by Diaspora Nigeria Nationals Network (DNNN), with membership all over the world and its headquarters in New York. The refusal of the Senate to yield to their request means they risk members of the Upper House finding they are unable to travel in any direction whatsoever.

Gov. Okowa Admonishes Leaders on Service to the People.



The Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has admonished leaders to always work for the good of the people to ensure they reap the dividends of democracy.

Governor Okowa stated this while addressing the congregation during the thanksgiving service of the Senator Ighoyota Amori, the Representative of  Delta Central Senatorial District, at the Assumption Catholic Church, Mosogar in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State.
